Great story, thanks for posting.

Also, a clarification is in order. It's obvious that most of you on this board use the terms 'poker' and 'NLHE' interchangeably. This may come as a shock to many of you, but there are other games besides HE! I guess that's what TV did to poker.

Most of the top live pros are proficient in many forms of poker. Most of the top online pros are HE specialists (mostly NL, but some Limit as well). A few top online guys dabble in PLO, but few are all-around poker players. Thus, it may not be fair to compare your best game to someone else's 2nd or 3rd best game, and then declare yourself to be the better "poker player".

Make no mistake -- if any of the online pros sat in the Big Game, where they had to play a half dozen forms of poker (or more), mostly Limit besides, they'd get their house cleaned. In fact, they'd be the standout donkeys in the game.

The best *poker* players in the world can be found in the Big Game. Not online. That said, I think the toughest Hold'em games are found online. I think a lot of good live HE players would find the going a lot tougher if they had to grind online (like they'd have to move down in limits to win consistently).

Granted, HSP is within the context of NLHE, but misuse of the term 'poker' has always been one of my pet peeves.

Palestinian Liberation Organization These are some tough dudes, and though people here joke about "playing the PLO" these dudes are not the types to be played. Rekanize.

JMan, that sucks, Bro. What's crazy about this to me is that you're a funny guy who's not exactly quiet. Apparently, you're serious as a heart attack though in a poker game, which is odd given that you're only playing for a million dollars or so. I'm sure you'll get another chance on this show or another big stage soon.

Jman28, we're the blinds really 300/600/1200 with an optional 2400 straddle?

Negreanu's blog reported a straddle of 1200 w/ most of the players restraddling for 2400

You're kidding right? My best friend is Palestinian and told me that this group is a joke. You make it sound like these guys are some Chinese mafia not to mess with.

Why didn't you ask Daniel for a heads up match? I'm sure he'd play, wouldn't he?

I don't know you from Adam, however can you really blame them for not letting you play again based on what they saw? They want ratings and ratings are Sammy Farha gambling and also some of the trash talking. Silent poker isn't good for ratings. I like to see poker being played, but I sure as hell like Sammy gambling too.

JMAN you may or may not remember me, but I hung out with you at ths SIHB Mansion last summer... I was working in Vegas then, and am friends with the guys from Toronto. Anyways I worked on the set of HSP, The Poker Dome, and all of the Full Tilt Live stuff last year. I know Mory, and better yet know people who do have some input in production... yadda yadda ask Apathy, or InYaFace for my AIM or email... and we can talk and maybe pitch your idea?
