Ok, it looks like a standard laydown too me. Check-call flop followed by check-raise turn is usually sign of a big hand. However, the players in these Sunday MTTs are pretty awful. I'm going through a big downswing so maybe I'm just second guessing myself. |

I bet more on both streets. This looks like a fold although I find that pretty hard to do.

If he called out of his BB, this might be close, but against a limp-caller, it's a pretty clear fold.

I think it's important to keep these pots small early in this type of tournament. With only top pair, you want to take a good stab at this out of the gate and then slow it down, or let it go, if you get resistance. I'd bet more on the flop. Check the turn, call his bet on the river. You gave him a perfect opportunity to bluff you out of this hand.

In these type of tournaments you should take the whip to TPTK because early in these type of tournaments you'll get called down by all sorts of crap. |
