Pokerstars FPP\'s vs. FTP rakeback
I hope this is the right thread to post this, and I'm sure this has been addressed before, but could someone please send me a link to a post/page which compares the bonuses I can get from my FPP's and FTP 27% rakeback?
Thanks in advance! |

Re: Pokerstars FPP\'s vs. FTP rakeback
FTP for bonus and rakeback , but overall stars is better.
(Ftp has bots and is rigged ) |

Re: Pokerstars FPP\'s vs. FTP rakeback
depends on what lvl u play at and how long u can play a month if ur only averaging like 40k hands or less a month then stay on full tilt, but if u can do 85k+ then stars is where i would go. And yes full tilt does have accounts with bots but they are easy to spot. I'm moving my roll to stars for better games at 100nl, i've played around 100k hands at 100nl and haven't seen any accounts that would be associated with bots, so if ur at that lvl or lower and don't average 85k + a month then i would just go to full tilt to take advantage of the deposit bonus plus rakeback to build ur roll.

what do FPPs get you? i can't see how they could possibly be better than just getting rakeback..

If you're Supernova the rate of return at $100NL or better is greater than FTP rakeback. If you play lower stakes or you don't play enough hands to make Supernova, then FTP is better. |

could you tell me what the rate of return is at 100nl? and how do you get to be a supernova anyway?

Re: Pokerstars FPP\'s vs. FTP rakeback
okay here is my estimate. I am using the calculations that I have read from other players on this website (this is for full ring BTW)
$100NL. Average VPP/100 hands:47.1 Rake paid per 100 hands:5.60 Value of FPP (if using conceirge service):.016667 Okay so every 100 hands we get 47.1 VPP's. So 47.1*3.5=164.65. So 164.65 FPP's every 100 hands times .016667=$2.75 per 100 hands. $2.75/$5.60=49% rakeback. And this number also fails to include VPP milestone bonuses. If you reach all of them rakeback goes up to about 70%. |

When clearing the reload I played at Stars and got about 2400 points on about 1300 hands (almost all on 3/6 SH limit). That's with double points too so I would've made 1/2 or only 1200 points playing without the promo going. However, I was Bronze for most of the time so I imagine my rate after hitting gold would be about the same. Anyway, to start getting the cash back bonuses you have to clear a but load of points that a 2 tabling low limit player like me can't hit. Playing 8 to 12 thousand hands a month would be about 20k points on average? So I could hit Supernova if I played year round, which I don't. Anyway, I don't think it outweighs RB for the beer money players. |

When I was playing full ring NL50, was getting over 27" best I could tell at just the VIP Gold level.

Re: Pokerstars FPP\'s vs. FTP rakeback
kcheel,
Is this converting the store purchases to real money or real money bonuses? I only saw that they had a few "limited time only" cash bonuses below the Supernova levels. |
