Playing $109 with only 1000 starting chips on party.
I just signed up for a $109 buy-in and I was expecting to start with 3k chips with 20/40 blinds. Instead I was given 1000 chips with 20/40 blinds. What is going on here? I feel like I have been ripped off as this is basically an all-in luckfest. Did they change the format at some point that I am not aware of?

They had this same problem last night. Their response to me when I asked for a refund is that since everyone started with the same amount of chips it was okay. I won't be playing the 9pm EST 109 again anytime soon needless to say.

Happened in the 20K Gur last night. Also I have been seated at 2 consececutive speed tournies when the blinds were already at 600 and my stack had been blinded to 645, giving me the chance to play only 1 hand. I think this new software is bogus.

This tournament froze and they refunded money it appears. I had a 3x average stack so it sucks in a way, but still good they fixed this.

Is this a common problem now? Would you guys suggest waiting until players are seated and checking that they have 3000 chips before buying into tournaments?

I am basically staying away from PP tourneys right now. You dont know what chips you are going to start with, and you have to pay juice on rebuys. That is some [censored].
