($405 left) UTG is 23.2/0/1.3(post-flop)/142 hands. I haven't seen this opponent get out of line. My pre-flop raise should have been bigger. I didn't know what to think of this min-raise. How do I proceed? |

Unless full ring is even tighter than I remember (been a while), just shove. You're giving up too much value by trying to get away from AA in these spots, and the board is too coordinated to try and get cute out of position on the turn and river.

it seems like this is always a set at full ring

Re: (NL400) AA squeezes, then faces min-raise on flop
esp since its FR i think tons of times he'd have a set here like 99, esp he limped UTG... I don't think you'll see KQ here maybe AQ occasionally
as played with the bet sizing, sometimes i'd get it in there sometimes i'd fold I think i'd raise him again to 300ish? and see if he shows strength... if he shoves then i'd most likely fold |

Preflop raise wuz ok... 8x is fine with AA in this spot vs a MILLION limpers. Based on the drawiness of this board and my hatred for variance, i call and c/rai safe turn, or u could open PSB a safe turn if you like to avoid letting him check turn for free card since he's got position on u. I don't think folding is good here...KTss or JTss or somethin like that is much more likely than Q9 or 222.

Re: (NL400) AA squeezes, then faces min-raise on flop
Usually a min-raise indicates a very strong hand, for example a set which I was very worried about here. On the other hand my raise has to look like a squeeze play to villain and he might not give me enough credit and he might just be making a play with top pair or a draw. As I was unsure on how to proceed if the turn is a spade,Q or K I opted to shove here instead of getting it all-in on the turn.
He insta-called, I cursed, he revealed KK, I won. |
