Re: Flush Draw on board, TP TK w/ draw $50 NL
I don't like the turn play. A check/minraise on the turn shows real strength on villain's part, especially from a player who doesn't tend towards aggression (though you didn't provide postflop numbers, and it's a pretty small sample). J5 is not a very likely holding on his part (and one which still beats you, although at least you have outs), so you're basically hoping that villain is getting way out of line with a hand like KJ.
Your 3-bet makes the pot quite large, which means you'll have a very hard time getting away from your hand if he's holding a boat, which seems fairly likely. It may or may not be reasonable to call the turn checkraise, but I'd definitely fold the river without making my flush. Villain would have to be a nutcase to shove a hand like KJ or J5 on that river, and that's all you beat. |

Can't fold the river getting like 10 to 1.
I hate the turn 3 bet though. |

I guess I didn't see him calling me PF with a 2 in his hand so I guessed J-5 or maybe a set but w/ that agression factor I was at a loss, the nut flush draw also is what pulled me back into this one. It didn't feel right at the time but i wanted to take control of this one for the river, which didn't exactly work out.

You forgot to say it was paired what more important. Flush draw no good.

Turn raise sucks, bet more on the flop.
