Also, if you're considering buying chips, don't be afraid to ask for a sample chip so you can get the feel of it before you put in an order. They may not offer samples, but you can always ask.

I have those chips you linked and frankly they are pretty plasticy. The weight of the chip is due to a metal insert. The price is ok, but I like Nexgen. They don't have a sticker but you can print out your own if you need to.

Here is an option: http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toys/NEX...keywords=nexgen

You can get purple and yellow Nexgen chips as well if you want to build a good tourney set. Purple are usually 500 and yellow are 1000. My buddy uses the blues as 5000 (they are usually 50).

Edit: This might even be better: http://www.discountcasinogear.com/st...oduct1253.html

We use the nexgen chips shown in the second link. They feel "softer" than other chips, but I love them.

This is some kickass pricing for nexgens, too. I wish I'd known of these suppliers before.

I use a 1000 piece set of NEXGENs for my home game, I got a great deal on them a little while ago on overstock.com.

The best bang for the buck are faux clays ( Faux Clays)

these feel & stack like clay chips, and are dirt cheap. They do not have edgespots and some of the colors are starting to become extinct (they are that popular).

Hello all,
I have a weekly home game that is a lot of fun. We have a nice poker table, nice KEM cards and sh*t chips. heh.

I was wondering if any of you can advise me on some decent chips to buy. I'm looking for around 1000 chips or more. I want quality chips that are aesthetically pleasing, and easy on the wallet.

i was looking at these chips...yay or nay?

thanks in advance

just make sure the weight is 11.5 grams, as that's the "standard" or something if you want the real deal... in shape they're pretty much alike.

I very much doubt those are real "clay" chips.
