Bluffing frequency when miss the flop
I'm interested in this situation: someone raises in the button (range 40% aprox.), you call in the big blind with some crap hand and the flop misses you completely.
Examples: K3o in Q98 board KTo in A77 board Q3s in K86 board 85s in KJ2 board ... What's aprox. your bluffing frequency? Do you prefer an a-high board? K-rag-rag board? all rags? you prefer to donk or check-raise? Or do you prefer to restrict yourself to semi-bluffs and check-fold the worthless hands? perhaps it depends on the WTSD of the stealer? Thank you very much |

Re: Bluffing frequency when miss the flop
i was actually thinking of posting something like this, because i don't ever do it when i miss completely, and my current rationale is that i check raise enough with gutshots, oesds, flush draws, and all kinds of pairs.

Re: Bluffing frequency when miss the flop
That's not such a bad overall strategy. Your opps at least know that they can't ever 3bet the flop and get you to fold for one more bet.
RE: bluffing.. I tend to look at the flops I hate to be donked on with a hand like Ax and then try to occasionally donk those vs the tighter players. Stuff like Q82, Jxx, etc. Also, has anybody noticed that 30+/20+ guys can't resist the animal magnetism of CRing any T-[9-6]-X flop? |
