Re: worst body part to lose?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] ears are worse than tongue. [/ QUOTE ] no way no way no way [/ QUOTE ] Id way rather lose my sense of taste than my sense of hearing. Cuz without hearing your tongue as a communications device is basically worthless anyway unless you wanna do helen keller impersonations [/ QUOTE ] I don't think losing your ears equates to losing your hearing. Doesn't most of your hearing ability come from the stuff thats inside your head? |

Id way rather lose my ears (and still be able to hear) than lose my tongue. But my ears freakishly protrude from my head, so i'd prolly be better off without them anyway |

Cuz without hearing your tongue as a communications device is basically worthless anyway [/ QUOTE ] i was talking about this earlier with someone. i know people who are deaf generally can't speak well at all, but are these the people who were born deaf? if i lost my hearing right now but still spoke every waking hour and had someone to direct me as to whether i was speaking too loud or too quietly, could i still maintain my normal voice? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, youd actually still be ok, youd sound different but people would be able to understand you. My comment was more in jest than grounded in fact, since I can never pass up a helen keller joke. I would still rather lose the tongue than the hearing. |

Re: worst body part to lose?
penis is out of the top3 right now, but with the advancements in prosthesis, losing both arms, or both legs won't be nearly as bad in 5-10years

Re: worst body part to lose?
eyes or arms would suck the most. Hearing is probably next because that would severely impede learning.
People saying head, lol. Being an introvert, tongue is low on the list, as is penis. Once neuro-mice become standard, ears beat arms. |
