3 table live NL tourney, we've just gone head up and I'm in the BB.
Me: ~8K Villian: ~32K Blinds: 600/1200 (~3 minutes left in the round) Villian has been playing like an agressive donk, but getting lucky. 1st hand head up he moves in from the SB and I have 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I'm thinking that in order to play this guy I need to have more chips and don't really like the hand. I decide that I might as well gamble the hand with what I hope are two live cards and if I win the hand, I should be able to play poker after that. I lost the hand and took 2nd, but I don't really think thats relevent. Opinions? |

I have no idea what you're asking.
You decided that you wanted to gamble, it didn't win, you took 2nd. Don't gamble? |

I'm asking if the call was reasonable given that I was so short stacked and the blinds were about to go up. With the difference in stack sizes, I know he is going to pressure me unless I have enough to cripple him. |

Fold and go in blind next hand. [/ QUOTE ] As stated, that sounds like bad advice. |
