Maybe go in to the BIOS and increase the VGA memory allocation if that is an option?

No idea on a laptop... on a normal desktop computer it would be "tap DEL on initial power-on". On a laptop it could be tap DEL, tap F1, tap F2, tap F10, hold ALT + tap F2 etc... someone with the same model would be much better qualified to instruct in this matter.

If you are lucky it may say "press XX + xx for setup" briefly when you first power up.

1920x1200 is a digital resolution usually, afaik. Someone else might know for sure. Your monitor is listed as analog. what's the format of the plug you're using to connect to the lcd and laptop? also, >128 would help, but I don't know how many megs of RAM you have.

For 1900 x 1200 I think your graphics card needs to have dual link output:

What kind of laptop do you have? Some manufacturers such as Toshiba disable widescreen resolutions in their BIOS. This would prevent you from seeing the correct resolution.

Ok i have an Acer Aspire 5002WLMi
AMD turion 64 ML-30 processor (1 MB L2 cche, 1.6GHz)
100GB HDD and 1GB DDR

as far as the analog/digital thing goes, i beleive 1920x1200 can be run on analog as the guy in the store had it hooked up with the same plug and it worked fine there....also in planB's link the guy who responded first in that thread said that almost any analog card should be able to push the 1920x1200 resolution. I am calling the LG support line rite now to see if they have any suggestions or kno if its possible to get that reso out of this computer thanks for all the help guys, if you have anymore suggestion let me kno. I'll let you kno whatr the support guys say (if they kno anything)
