Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: May. (#9 of 9.)
I just want to know why WSEX doesn't accept Epassporte. If anyone else wants to get money on there, we should try mass-emailing. I've sent individual emails to no avail. Perhaps its better since it limits the amount I can bet on sports.

Hi everyone, we just put this out today. Please join us Thursday night. ------------------------------------------ Greetings Poker Players, Last April World Sports Exchange, WSEX.com, sought to revolutionize the poker business by offering its services rake free. Many of you signed up since then and have enjoyed the fruits of 100% rakeback every Monday. World Sports Exchange has refunded almost $20 million in rake since we began this program. Those who currently play with us realize the magnitude of this program. To those who have never funded, or those who have not played in some time, we are inviting you to play this Thursday, the 17th of May, from 8 PM to 10 PM Eastern. Help World Poker Exchange PRIME THE PUMP and get this no rake thing into full gear! WSEX acknowledges there were software issues when we rolled out the project, but they have all been addressed. The platform is very stable now. We have added many features including hand histories to hard drives and 6-Max tables. You no longer have any excuse. If you are playing anywhere else, you are throwing away money. Rake kills your bankroll like nothing else. Remember, it's your poker room, we gave it to the players. The more who show up and stick around the better it is for everyone. Together we can make this work. Remember, if you don't have action, nothing can happen. World Sports Exchange WSEX.com WorldPX.com *Please note our "Aces Never Lose" promotion will be running Thursday night. See our web site, www.worldpx.com, for details. **World Sports Exchange, WSEX.com, and its sister companies are licensed sportsbooks and casinos and regulated by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda. All transactions take place on our servers in Antigua where we are wholly located. [/ QUOTE ] Hi Fred, This time slot is a little late for us Euros but I will try and get on for an hour or so a little earlier. Where has this been sent? I havn't got it but i'm a regular, are you targetting dormant accounts? Also, any truth in the rumour mentioned above that your considering pulling the plug on rakefree poker? Thanks again for all your doing for us poker players. |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: May. (#9 of 9.)
If any other site offered rakefree for two hours on a given night, you'd probably be all over it. The fact is that this site offers the best deal in poker in terms of the fixed cost of playing all the time. You can't get any better than NO COST. And with the Aces Never Lose Promotion Wednesday through Saturday, it's +EV from the get go.
I think they are trying to see if they can drive numbers up as an experiment. I support it, and am sending emails to my poker playing buddies inviting them for Thursday. |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: May. (#9 of 9.)
I thought there would be a bigger buzz today about trying to maybe all get together tonight at 8pm to 10 pm. A little disappointed to see not much activity.
I"m up 4k at worldpx.. but saved $13,722 now in rake fees to make that 4k. I thought people would realize that them going "rakefee" is the biggest thing to ever happen in terms of the profitability of online poker. Oh well .. until more online players are educated about long term effects of the rake.. and how it basically makes the game a total scam.. worldpx will remain decently unpopular as it is now. Which makes the non success of the "free site" the biggest paradox in poker history. Considering the difference in profitablilty is absolutely enorumoous between paying rake and "no rake." |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: May. (#9 of 9.)
I play WPX almost exclusively, except for the kinds of games they don't offer (NL HU, large-field MTTs, etc.). I've recommended WPX all of my poker-playing friends, and at least one has signed up so far.
Why has the player base grown so slowly? Just look at the ads, including the ones on this page. Other sites spend big $$$ on advertising, as do rakeback affiliates. Obviously WPX has no rakeback affiliates, nor big budgets for advertising / celebrity endorsements. So it's really up to the players to help promote the site. How can we do this? -give free advertisement on your web site / blog -wear a WPEX shirt to live games / tournaments -tell everyone who will listen -...? |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: May. (#9 of 9.)
WSEX GM, a few feature requests:
A "bet pot" button which adjusts the bet amount to the size of the pot. A "total pot" display that tells you amount the money in the middle + people's bets. Long live 100% rakeback! |
