One of my friends is a rep for Wilson or one of the other glove distributors and claims that Griffey is the nicest guy in baseball (at least of the clients/teams he is assigned).

That is a freaking awesome story. Nintendo has always been one of my favorite players. He has always had one of the best swings in the game. It is too bad about the injuries. Too bad because instead of that fat, bald, cheater Barry breaking the home run record it would be Griffey. Oh well, instead he'll just have to settle for being a first ballot hall of famer who hit more home runs than all but 5 other people, and two of them had to cheat to do it.

I am huge griffey fan, have been ever since I was 8 years old trying to emulate his sweet swing and same bat wobble in little league. I still have the signed poster of him that I got for christmas one year hanging above my desk in my dorm room. It was a huge let down when he got traded from the Mariners, but this makes me overlook it somewhat.
