Default Met/partied with brad booth last night.

so last night was the end of the johnny chan poker classic @ riverrock casino here in vancouver.
i get back from mothers day dinner at my moms house, and my roommates are mangled and have been drinking since 7pm.
my roommate has invited 2 other djs over to record an internet radio show that he does from time to time.
i get home @ 11 and start kickin it old school with some 80's electro.
about a half hour later, some angry east indian guy from next door opens our apartment door, and tells us to turn our music down. (first noise complaint in 1.5 years!)
we both sit there kind of stunned, deciding on what to do now.
we decide to go down to "republic" on granville st.
so we get down there and its kind of dead, with a live band doing some bob marley cover. i get some $11 doubles (even though they were advertising $6.50 doubles as their drink special online) and im checking out the action when brad booth comes walking by me.
im sittin there kind of star struck, as ive never been to vegas, or any big tourneys and have never seen any "pros" live before. gavin smith is also there [censored] drunk and having a good time.
i finally walk over to brad, and ask if i can get a pic with him, as ive heard he is super approachable and nice.
he agrees, but my camera phone doesnt have flash so im kinda [censored]. he offers his own camera and we take some pics with me and him and gavin (gavin looked kind of hurt that i only asked for a picture of only brad.)
i tell him that he made an ultra sick bluff on Ivey on HSP, and tells me, "yah that was pretty sick!"

he asks for my email and says he'll send my the pics.
hes got sort of an entourage with him, and my and my buddies are mingling with him and his friends. we start buying drinks for eachother and its good times.
his "best friend" tells me brads been on a really cold run lately.
brad tells me he busto'd out of the tournament holding A9 on a 99x board to some guy holding 55 (money went in on the flop.) pretty sick beat.

gavin then asks if we can switch hats as he likes my kangol.
i agree and take his Full Tilt hat (guy is majorly bald) and rock that for awhile, before me and my friend decide to make it on home.

brag: met brad booth, and he was buying me drinks.
beat: camera didnt work for pictures
variance: gavin smith tried to steal my kangol.

Sounds like fun. Every time I am in Vancouver and I head down to Ganville I have such a great time. It’s like Tijuana in that you can’t get anything you want at any hour only its way nicer and most Canadians (thumbs down on the French ones) are super cool.

I was at a private game on Tuesday morning in Richmond after the NL 6 max tourney and there was some SICK stacks. Game was 10/25 and avg stack was about 25k with largest somewhere around 100k. As I walked in Brad had 3-bet all in on the turn against a big time bacarat player at the rock and he was eventually called and the pot was about 120k. After about 3 min of Brad angle shooting the guy to try and chop the pot and run it for a lot less. They finally ran the river and Brad hit a flush (moving in w/ a gutshot flush draw) vs the other guys 2nd nut straight. Moral of the story is he put it in WAY behind and angled himself out of money. None the less nice guy and is a zoo downtown on granville usually. Also I [censored] RUN SO BAD IN JC EVENTS!

^^^yah, brads funny. he kept asking me if i had a home game going, and we could go play.
i told him i only play up to 3/6 so the game probably would be for him.
he then tried to show me some magic trick that didnt really work.
good times.
