when playing this hand i was thinking of Indianas hand recently where he had only a flushdraw and concidered check/shoving the flop at the 15/30 or so..is this way to out of line?

I dont like this play at the turn. If you want to push, do it after your check at the flop. Then you at least have two cards coming if you get called. I personally fold this hand preflop (if not in the blinds), and fold it at the flop if I was still in the hand. Much too early for me to spend chips on these drawing hands.

not completing with 78s to that odds is not in my world.
i agree with check/shoving flop is better, and i agree with calling the turn as played is better.

Just call, don't risk chips at the 6.5s. They are easy enough to run 20%roi on and drawing won't let you beat the rake. Maybe a raise on the flop, and if he bets you prob still have odds on the river, depending on the size. If he RR you're a favorite against most hands except like qj spades/ax spades
