You have to bet out on the flop to see where you're at. Because you didn't, now you have to give credit for a hand to the guy b/c he's betting into you OOP. It's a fold now, but you should have picked this up on the flop.
Caveat: if your read (you said you had none) suggests that he's buying the pot after you showed weakness, then I think you re-pot. |

i wimped on betting my trips [/ QUOTE ] fixed your post. if you had a set here, you would obviously have flopped a full house. sarcasm and corrections aside, the factors you need to consider are: a) bet is coming from the SB b) no one has shown strength c) possible value bet, semi-bluff, or pure-bluff d) a call represents 1/5th of your stack e) you have little invested in the pot f) very minimal chance of improving your hand i'd hate giving it up so easily, but it looks like you should probably make a pass here. |
