Your best bet is to find a home game or drive to Port Canaveral to go on the Suncruz. It's a fish factory. For NL, they offer 1/3 100NL, 2/5 300NL and 5/10 600NL (capped) If you just play tight, they are all calling stations and will pay you off. The rake isn't unbearable 10% 5.00 max. They also run 5/10 limit, 10/20 limit, 3/6 limit and 1 table of 10/20 round and round (Hold em, them omaha) The seas can be brutal though, so make sure you take some dramamine. At least the drinks are free from half decent looking girls.

After factoring in dealer tips and rake there are very few people who beat live poker in Florida for a considerable ROI. There are plenty of people that can call themselves winners but the rate that you can win at are a fraction of what most successful online players can sustain. The highest sustainable ROI is easily in the live MTTs as they draw the biggest crowds and have the greatest number of fish.

Dude you are in luck! The legislature just passed new law.
July 1 $100.00 NL and new bet limit up to $5.00.

Good times to come!

well 100nl in FLA should be nice and soft but with that small of a buy in, it hardly makes it worth driving to the casino to play...hourly rate couldn't be great even in supersoft games.

Check the thread in the Legislation forum. There is speculation that due to the wording, if the venues choose to push the envelope, that $100 will be the minimum required buyin. We'll see in July.
