Default Micro PLO Beginner - Hand Advice & FH Laydown

Hi. Started playing .01/.02 Omaha on Stars a week ago, and have a generally positive win rate for a newb, though I still make some donkey mistakes, hopefully learning from them (the biggest lesson being don't play while tired). I've done some suckout plays, and am wondering if I made a technical mistake even when winning that will come back to haunt me. I might think this because people love to tell me how horrible my play was after I suck out on the river, but they may be right. 2 hands for this example:

HAND 1

Poker Stars - Pot Limit Omaha Cash Game - $0.01/$0.02 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $3.52
<font color="black">Hero (BB): $4.69</font>
UTG: $3.75
MP: $4.80
CO: $3.00
BTN: $5.16

<font color="black">Reads: </font><font color="blue">Button seemed overaggressive with what I thought were goofy hands, though my choices were admittedly not much better. I thought on the turn he had to have the nut straight or was overplaying the second nut, which I shared with a redraw. Actually reading the HH I feel a lot better about this, but I thought he had T-A at the time.</font>

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.02, MP calls $0.02, CO checks, <font color="red">BTN raises to $0.10</font>, SB folds, Hero calls $0.08, UTG calls $0.08, MP folds, CO calls $0.08

<font color="black">Flop:</font> ($0.43) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $0.20</font>, UTG folds, CO calls $0.20, <font color="red">BTN raises to $1.23</font>, Hero calls $1.03, CO calls $1.03

<font color="black">Turn:</font> ($4.12) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, CO checks, <font color="red">BTN bets all-in for $3.83</font>, Hero calls all-in for $3.36, CO folds
Uncalled bet of $0.47 returned to BTN

<font color="black">River:</font> ($10.84) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Pot Size: $10.84 ($0.50 Rake)

BTN had J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and LOST (-$4.69)
Hero had 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a full house, Nines full of Tens) and WON (+$5.65)

I should have read the IHH and saw what he had, but I started thinking I was betting too optimistically and so made a bad fold here (the winner was the same player I sucked out on in the previous hand):

HAND 2

Poker Stars - Pot Limit Omaha Cash Game - $0.01/$0.02 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $5.08
BB: $3.86
UTG: $4.99
<font color="black">Hero (MP): $9.67</font>
CO: $2.86
BTN: $4.89

<font color="black">Reads: </font><font color="blue">I actually thought he was drawing to the K flush on the turn, but I doubted myself enough to fold the bet on a draw only against 2 players.</font>

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, BTN calls $0.02, SB calls $0.01, BB checks

<font color="black">Flop:</font> ($0.10) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $0.06</font>, CO calls $0.06, BTN folds, SB calls $0.06, <font color="red">BB raises to $0.16</font>, Hero calls $0.10, CO folds, SB calls $0.10

<font color="black">Turn:</font> ($0.64) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">BB bets $0.12</font>, Hero calls $0.12, <font color="red">SB raises to $1.12</font>, BB calls $1.00, Hero folds

<font color="black">River:</font> ($3) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">BB bets $2.36</font>, <font color="red">SB raises all-in to $3.78</font>, BB calls all-in for $0.20
Uncalled bet of $1.22 returned to SB

Pot Size: $8.12 ($0.35 Rake)

BB had 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a flush, King high) and WON (+$3.91)
SB had J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ([Jc 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7d] (a straight, Five to Nine)) and LOST (-$3.86)

I'm trying to be a tighter player preflop, since I know I can get into trouble with low pairs, naked pairs, etc., but I'm wondering if I don't profit as much when I play ABC Omaha, since I don't take as many marginally bad hands that turn into monsters (folding a ragged Q high flush hand preflop and seeing AKx suited flop, etc). This was the hardest laydown I've made in Omaha yet, but I thought he might have had a set on the flop. My turn call was the "don't play tired" lesson.

HAND 3

Poker Stars - Pot Limit Omaha Cash Game - $0.01/$0.02 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $1.88
BB: $16.86
<font color="black">Hero (UTG): $3.85</font>
CO: $9.75
BTN: $0.69

<font color="black">Reads: </font><font color="blue">CO has been playing pretty tight; multi tabler with consistently good results.</font>

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
Hero calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, BTN folds, SB calls $0.01, BB checks

<font color="black">Flop:</font> ($0.08) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">BB bets $0.02</font>, Hero calls $0.02, <font color="red">CO raises to $0.16</font>, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.14

<font color="black">Turn:</font> ($0.42) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $0.22</font>, <font color="red">CO raises to $1.08</font>, Hero calls $0.86

<font color="black">River:</font> ($2.58) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, <font color="red">CO bets $2.48</font>, Hero folds

Pot Size: $5.06 ($0.10 Rake)

Was I too optimistic on these two hands?

HAND 4

I know I was fairly lucky in some of these hands, and especially in the first one I played the all-in on feel rather than odds, since my odds said I should lose. Is this an overall losing approach to PLO?

Sorry for the long post, but I'm trying to get better. Any criticism appreciated.

my recommendation for playing anything PLO25 and below would be to just play and every session take your 10 biggest hands and calculate how well you got your money in on each street.

I.e. preflop run the numbers on twodimes.net vs your opponents. See how much money you put in and what your pot equity was.

Repeat for each street.

I'd do this for at least 10 or 20,000 hands minimum.

Play this until you understand everything, then move up to a higher game and try and beat that game and start analyzing your play from a poker standpoint.

Biggest hands meaning favored starting hands, or meaning the biggest cash swings? Thanks for your reply.

10 biggest pots that you play that go to showdown.

Another thing to add in there is to keep notes of what you think your opponent has on each street, i.e. what is "range" is and then check it against what he actually has once the cards are turned over.
