That hand with MarvinGarden is just ugly. I wonder how many people entered that mtt and have no idea at all how to play omaha.

[/ QUOTE ]

dunno why so many hate Marvin's play, only thing I do different is shove after cts pushes instead of calling, there's no way he can fold there for 60k more into about a 140-150k pot

[/ QUOTE ]

IMO its an extremely weak hand to be raising UTG. Esp in a mtt where you don't have many BBs that you can outplay/flop someone enough to get paid off. To me, it just is a very weak hand to open in this spot. I can't imagine worse hands raising him, and if he gets called, he's going to have to play oop. This is coming strictly from a plo perspective, if someone wants to make an arguement about the stage in the mtt or his blind/stack ratio and whatever, i wont stop ya, im not a mtt player and wouldn't know what i'm talking about.

I am kind of a LAG monkey in PLO (40/33ish) so you guys are probably right. Also like I said I rarely play full ring or PLO tourneys. So yeah basically I'm probably wrong here. That being said, once he makes the initial raise and gets flatcalled then shoved for 6xbb more he can't fold.

It shoulda been painfully obvious to MG that he was up against AAxx and/or a huge drawing hand (QJ910 ds) or something. Basically for his hand to hold up, he shoulda known he was just playing for a diamond draw or some weird straight w/ the J7 or KJ maybe that would scoop him the pot. I think he should of open folded, and once it got repopped I think it could go either way with a call/fold. Its easy to say fold now, seeing that Tunik shoved behind, but in an mtt I want to protect my chips and don't want to put anymore in, in marginal situations with marginal holdings, ESP vs. a player that can bust you. With that said, I still probably call CTS shove for the 6 more BBs but I fold to tuniks reshove. If I were MG I'd cut my losses, take my 17BBs and find a better spot.
