Default I Butchered this, where do I un-butcher it?

Early in Super 25-50 blinds. I have 5000, everyone else is at about 1500.

UTG+2 limps, I overlimp with AKo (usually raise here, I don't think this is butcher job #1 yet but who knows).

He is unkown.

BradL, a very good twoplustwo limit player (dunno about his tournaments, never played with him) overlimps on the button.

BB raises to 300, it might be a good spot for a play but its likely he's got a hand.

First limper calls 250.

I call 250 (butcher job #1?)

BradL moves all in for 1440 total.

BB is all in for 1585 total.

First limper folds.

Is this a pretty easy decision? Where should I have played differently?

Any clue what Brad L's hand range is? I've got a very good clue about other dude. His range is tight.

Seeing as how I'm also a pretty fair twoplustwo limit player (in my own mind, anyway), I'd expect his range to usually be a mid pocket pair in the JJ-88 range & sometimes a big ace (AQ or AK). Which I believe means you that you have to call getting almost 3:1, unless of course you think BB's range is that tight.

Yeah easy call if you are going to limp though and get lucky enough for someone else to raise make it like 800 to go and get out the other blinds and hope for a push from the original raiser. You already have some dead money go for it.

You should definitely shove over the raise and call. You should definitely call now.

Totally agree I should have followed steve's plan.

I guess what I thought was interesting about this hand was figuring bradl's range.

The other thing I thought was interesting was, how much deeper do I and the others have to be so that a flat call of the raise is fine.

I just wonder as a percent of the stack, I don't think its that much deeper until I can flat call, and I'm curious what that point is.

I called, I thought it was a pretty easy call. Brad L had 63s, which confused the hell out of me.

If he can get hu agains the original raisers ak then its a good play but its too likely the other dude has jj+.

Anyway raiser had qq.

Agree with stevepa, I put BradL's range on a medium/high PP here most frequently here as well, sometimes AQ (less often AK).

Didn't read your last post before posting, that move by BradL is just weak and I can't see it being profitable like ever.

You should definitely shove over the raise and call. You should definitely call now.

You're representing aces on the limp-shove. Only way to play it now. You can't call the bb and get 3 callers behind.

Call the shove too.

I raise prf.. hate the limp.

I really think you should raise preflop, but like you said I wouldn't consider it butchering. Once the big blind reraises, I'd probably shove it all in. BB is definitely raising a wider ranger than KK,AA, and he probably won't give you that much credit.

Now if you folded to BradL's shove, that would be a severe butchering. Just think, would anyone, especially a 2p2er, overlimp a big pair like that? Basically like never. I'd shove.

the weird thing is i can't remember the last time i overlimped with ak, dunno what crossed my mind.

anyone have an idea of what percentage of stacks is fine to call the reopop with. if everyone was 2500 deep it woulda been fine correct?
