I feel like this is perhaps a raise pf but, I'm not real happy about calling a lot of raises from OOP with 7's. So, I decided to limp it or drop it if raised behind me. I'm calling the initial push, but with a flat call from right after him and 8,000 behind, I felt like a fold was correct. Good? Horrible? Weak-tight?

its tough, how late in the tourney is this? can u get a check-down from this guy (possible if its late) or is he gonna be playing for a bigger stack here bc theres a lot of people left. You're more than likely trying to win 2 different coin flips. If you do re-push however, the sidepot will definitely profit you on the situation. I think MP1s decision not to isolate shows weakness in his hand since u already called 400 and he didn't feel a need to protect his hand. Im thinking mediocre A or perhaps KQ here from MP, who knows what UTG+1 has with just 7 BBs left. the range is huge there.

It was in the last level before the second break. You nailed MP's hand, KQ. UTG+1 had two 9's. MP rivered a queen for the scoop.
I'm not too good with playing a big stack yet, so I was trying to get a feel for whether or not these are the types of hands I should be aggressive with. |

No, I wasn't thinking about rr'ing.. I was mainly curious about what to do PF from up front with my stack.

IN GENERAL I will limp those, fold to a raise in that position when I can afford it. Occasionally, though, if you detect one player raising your limps all the time - limp-reraise him.

call me a gambooooooler but I actually like moving in here. UTG could have a lot of hands here. MP isn't very strong either as I think he would rr to isolate with 88+
I think you can push him off a lot of broadways/weaker aces here and you will be able to flip a coin with UTG+1 with MP's extra dead money. |
