Hero bets, Villain calls, Hero calls. [/ QUOTE ] Assuming it just went bet/call on the turn, bet/fold is pretty standard on the river. If you're planning to see the river (which I generally am), you have to bet the turn. It sucks when you get raised tho. |

The turn should say, Hero bets, Villain Raises, Hero calls. |

Re: Straight vs. 4 flush board
That do make the river tougher, to the point where I'm almost willing to check/fold. You hit your straight, and I seriously, seriously doubt that he's calling your river bet with a worse hand on that scary a board. I also have big doubts that he talks himself into folding a small flush for 1 more bet...I think he frustration calls if nothing else, just so he can see how badly you sucked out on him.
OTOH, with the way you played the hand & especially the bet/call on the turn, I think he checks through with those same non-nut flushes a lot. Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think that this is a check/fold against an unknown. It helps that the pot is only 8 BBs. The only way I can see a river bet helping you here is if he folds a chopping hand. I'm still not too sure about calling the turn raise. |

Re: Straight vs. 4 flush board
On turn you could allredy be deth he could hold 2 diamonds or QK, two pair . Discounted you i think you have less than 4 outs. I think you can fold against the raise.
