Uncalled bets: t247 returned to CO. Results: Final pot: t2400 I'm new to PLO8 so I'm unsure of the correct line with this hand. I know A238ds is strong, and I figured it's strong enough to try to get it heads up or just take down the pot. The flop seemed like the worst flop and i figured with two callers someone had me beat. Unsure if I should have done continuation bet. |

Re: PLO8 MTT, A238ds lp, raise or call?
You raise and miss the flop, so you fold... that's a resonable choice given your playing a MTT.
the 8:th isn't a strong card in Omaha/8 though |

Re: PLO8 MTT, A238ds lp, raise or call?
Yeah, if the 8 was a broadway card(TJQK) the hand would be much stronger because you'd pick up additional outs to draw to a nut high straight.
I would limp in with this hand because it plays very well in multi way pots; These A2xx hands (when the xx are small cards)are designed to attract lots of callers. Reason being, your main objective with an A23 holding is to flop low/low draw that also has counterfiet protection. Of course, having a suited Ace adds a lot of value to the hand and it's always nice to flop a flush/flush draw as well...but the appeal of this hand is the A23. And, when you're looking for low flops, and you actually hit your hand, the more callers the better so if you do get quartered you still may be able to show a profit(which is harder to do HU). |

Re: PLO8 MTT, A238ds lp, raise or call?
blinds are still small, i make a nuisance raise to induce more people to call pf and fold on flop
