Re: Anyone have any tips for getting food comps at the Bellagio?
[ QUOTE ]
I'm used to AC rooms where you get your "reward card", clock in and out, and then buy food with that. I'm guess by the tone in this thread that they don't do this in Vegas? Or is it different at different casinos there? [/ QUOTE ] It's not necessarily different in Vegas, just Bellagio. |

'cept at all but IP you have to hit the poker room to redeem your computer comps into a written comp before hitting the restaurant... at IP you can just use your player's card like a credit card at their restaurants. At Bellagio and Mirage, you are expected to grovel at the feet of the suits, and know how the system works to know they only get a limited number of them at certain times of day. Sahara will hand you a $4 comp if you ask after you've played a few hours. Monte Carlo hands you a $6 comp after you've played 4 hours. Hint: Take the $4 Sahara comp to the coffee shop between 4:30 and 7pm and get the $8 prime rib special for $4. Or use the $4 comp after midnight for 100% free steak and eggs. |

The comp at the "B" is not worth the trouble.
The food you get at the snack stand is not worth the walk. |

Re: Anyone have any tips for getting food comps at the Bellagio?
Thanks for the info guys. Honestly that might be enough of a factor to choose a place other than the Bellagio as my main place. Maybe the Wynn- I played there a few times last summer and liked it. I've never been to the Venetian, how is that?
Also, random question: Do most of these places work their comp cards like the Borgata/Taj(you clock in, around 6AM they come around to reset all cards so if you leave without clocking out you lose everything) or like the Trop(they come around every hour or so and scan your cards, you don't have to clock out)? Oh, and I liked the Bellagio Snack Bar.....was trying to stay in shape so I usually got the Asian Chicken Salad last summer, and it wasn't bad at all. |

Honestly that might be enough of a factor to choose a place other than the Bellagio as my main place. [/ QUOTE ] That's why I stayed away from the Bellagio last summer, and in hindsight, I regret it. From what I've heard, the games at the Bellagio are just so much better than the V/Wynn that it's worth putting up with the B's problems. So you're making $3/hour at the V in comps plus their better service and more comfortable room is worth maybe $3/hour to you. But if your hourly is $15 better at the Bellagio, well, duh. I love the V, but I'm going to give the Bellagio a very serious look this summer (especially for 5/10) after not playing there at all last year. [ QUOTE ] Also, random question: Do most of these places work their comp cards like the Borgata/Taj [/ QUOTE ] Yes, but be careful about getting tons of extra hours because the rooms are smaller and they won't be happy if they notice you doing it repeatedly. They would never notice at the Borg/Taj because the rooms are just so big and there are multiple desks. |
