Default Good Trip Report - Long (and not mine)

Saw this on AVP.

Very good read - Wish it was mine.

Thanks for the link, it was awesome. If someone slowrolled me with 77 vs my KK on a K77 flop, I'd jump across the table and tear their neck out with my bare teeth.

This MUST be the guy I sat next to at Caesars for a while. He came to town just to play the WPT satellites at B and was going to play the $25K event one way or another. He was ranting constantly about the horrible suits over at Bellagio. They lied about the schedule and kept changing when and how the SnG's and satellites would run. They were rude. It was the worst run poker major poker room he'd ever entered with the most arrogant, least helpful suits ever.

That, or B ticked off several people just as much and in exactly the same way as the guy I sat next to.

One of the things I was alarmed at was:

[ QUOTE ]
Lines for the single table satellites were long, and patience was running pretty low on occasion as many of us watched the head guy's friends (50-60 year old local/regulars) walk past the line and toss their entry fee on the desk and be seated right away. They didn’t even try to hide it or be cool about it. It was basically an in your face, this is OUR house kind of move. And commenting to any of the staff about it got you an eye roll that told you in so many words, whatthehell do you expect, we don’t want all of you people here anyway, the sooner you're gone, the better. SURELY the WPT can find a better place to host this tournament!

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this a common practice for satellites for any of the big tourneys?

I plan on playing at The B in July when I finally get my vacation, but I'm kinda steamed just reading about this. Not that it will matter in July mind you.

From the sounds of it, the thought crossed his mind.
