Dude, white asian really isn't viewed any differently than Italian-Irish or Jew- Catholic.. The families might care (in the case of white - asian, the asian family probably cares more) and perhaps a few jealous guys within the same ethnic category as the female, but no one else does.

That's different than just asking ot of curiousity because MAYBE they are of the same ethnicity imo.


This happens all the time with my GF. People are just curious.
Of course, lots of white people just think/assume she's probably Mexican.

Then there was the one person at her work who once was talking about her to someone else and said, "You know, Teresa, the chinese girl."

This is one of those stereotypes that makes me cringe. I posted above that my wife of 15 years is black. I am very politically conservative. Most people automatically asume that my wife and I are liberal, and are usually suprised to find out we aren't.

I'm not pointing this out to make a big deal out of it, and although I am responding to your post, many of the people posting in this thread seem to asume that people who enter into interracail relationships must be liberal. There are many cases of people in public life that are in interracial marriages that are politacally conservative.

The point is, you really never can judge a book by it's cover.
