Re: $16 Stars: KK hoping to get more chips out of it
Raise t500 preflop. You want a call. Push any flop, even if there is an Ace.

Re: $16 Stars: KK hoping to get more chips out of it
You're on the bubble and don't want to get too cute here.
800-850 and shove non-A flop. It's a PSB as someone else noted. Just take it down. Shoving isn't the worst option either, as you frequently get looked up at the 16s by 66 who thinks he's racing against AK. |

Don't you think if villain were to call a t800 bet he'd be just as likely to call an all in. So pushing preflop would actually be the best play here. On the other hand, making a standard raise induces a call and gets more tchips out of villain if you think he'll fold to the all in. What range are you putting villain on? OP implied his range is pretty wide. So hero is easily beating him preflop and post flop no matter what comes on the flop. Betting t800 and then folding if an Ace comes on the flop seems like a waste of chips and equity. |

Re: $16 Stars: KK hoping to get more chips out of it
Shove is not bad here. You might even get called.
What do ye all do when SB shoves his t5000 over your re-raise cause he likes to pwn the bubble. If UTG Calls ?? If UTG folds ?? |

[/ QUOTE ] We don't really want a call on the flop as it gives an A two more chances to catch. We want to win a bigger pot by getting villain to call a bigger bet preflop, then folding. Again, it's the bubble don't get cute, just take it down. |

raising to 550 is horrible ! raise must be at least 650, 700-750 is way better. ps: traedamatic, noone raised before hero so there isn't any reraising involved. [/ QUOTE ] upps! Misread the Hand! |

A preflop raise of t800 gives us fewer chips, especially relative to the larger pot, to c-bet on the flop. Thus giving villain more reasons to call on the flop. |
