My simple questions:
1. Should I have r/r MP2 to find out where he's at? 2. As played: FOLD, CALL, or PUSH? I would appreciate a concise reason for your choice. READS (and metagame): SB is 21/9 over ~1000 hands and just took down two large garbage pots with 102s and A4o BOTH from the blinds. MP2 is 33/13 over ~5,000 hands, getting crushed over those 5,000, and just stacked off with TP2K to a set when OOP. Regular table, not tight, not loose. ~9pm EST. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $327.70 BB: $204.35 UTG: $87.20 UTG+1: $481.35 MP1: $211.70 MP2: $198.00 Hero (CO): $391.00 BTN: $250.80 MP2 posts $2.00 Hero posts $2.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (8 Players) 3 folds, MP2 checks, Hero checks, BTN folds, SB calls $1.00, BB checks Flop: ($8) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players) SB checks, BB checks, MP2 bets $8.00, Hero calls $8.00, SB raises to $38.00, BB folds, MP2 calls $30.00, Hero??? |

[/ QUOTE ] Fold preflop (EDIT - if you posted in the CO, then that's fine). Answering your questions: 1. No, don't raise a calling station with a draw. Raise folding stations with draws. Your initial call was fine. 2. As played, fold and its not close. If you had KdTs, you could call. The reason its a fold is that you have 2 players expressing keen interest in a 3-flush, 2 straight draw flop in a pot that was unraised preflop, and you have only 1 nut out - Kd. If someone has KdX, you are drawing slim. If someone already has a small flush, you are drawing slim. If someone has a set or 2 pair, you are facing a redraw situation, or being turned dead. In holdem, we are looing to invest our money in positive expected value situations. This one is far too risky. |

2. As played: FOLD [/ QUOTE ] I don't even think this is close. As played this fold is "easy peezy lemon squeezy," as my kids say. You're drawing to a non-nut flush where you're straight outs are probably no good and somebody might have a flush already. Even if you hit your flush, anybody giving action probably has the Kd. So, as played, easy fold. |

I would have folded on the flop. As played, fold to the raise because you might not have a live diamond, probably up against a flush, so your straight draw is likely not live either.
