What, for my booching the last two nights? I made the mistake of flopping two pair and betting it the first night. Last night, it was just all about the other guy just plain having a better hand.

ok i woke up late today and been busy running errands and have to go hang out with the girlie tonight, but ill write up a lil trip report late tonight or tomorrow when i wake up.

ok! so, i meet up with 2 of my buddies at my house around 2 pm, nate and craig (craigmarq), and we head over to mario's (deuce2high) house in keller. we get there, and i talk crap to my old roomate travis (travestyfund) cuz he punked out on going. he rather hang out with some friends from highschool. loser. ok so we roll up there, it takes about an hour or so from mario's, and we get there and it looks like a gigantic circus. i have never been to winstar before, so i just started laughing as we walked in.

we go thru the entrance or whatever, and mario gets carded. we make fun of him for that. anyways, we make our way to the poker room, as i witness about 372 old degenerates playing slots and blackjack with an ANTE! who has ever heard of something so silly?? so i get into the poker room, and theres probably about 20 tables running, mostly 1-2 and 2-5 NL, with 2 tables of 5-10. i ask the guy at the booth or whatever if we can start up an interest list for 10-20, and he pretty much gives me the dumbest look in the world and says no. so im like oh, well, what if people want to play it? then he explains to me how they have TWO whole 5-10 games going. so i decide not to argue with him because he didnt seem to wanna deal with me, so i jumped on the list for 5-10 and got into immediate seating at 2-5.

i sit down in the 2 seat with mario in the 1 seat, and immediately start talking. very first hand i play im in cutoff, utg opents for 20, gets like 5 callers, and i shove for 500. everyone folds and i say ship it! and throw the dealer 10 for a tip. the guy to my left, who is probably 55-60, and has a lil electric cart thing, immediately starts up on me. he starts going off about how im going to be broke, and all these dumb kids that are overagressive always go home busto, so i challenge him to 10-20. he kinda shuts up after that.

apparently mario has some connections up at winstar, because he gets his name called for 5-10 like 10 minutes later. so im still playing this 2-5 game, reraising every pot, showing every bluff, and basically pissing the guy in the 3 seat off to no end. he ends up getting fed up after i show him a bluff on a AQT flop when i had 37o. he racks his chips, and explains to me how they are here every day waiting for people like me. so i explained to him the irony in him leaving.

anyways, there was only 1 guy that was really playing back at me at all, and he was about a 35 year old asian dude with glasses. he had about a 1600 stack and i kept mine around 6-700 reloading if below 5 and basically getting nothin goin. i straddle utg, someone limps, and he makes it 50, gets back to me i go 150 with TT. utg+1 limper folds, and he instashoves. i think for about 2 seconds, sigh, and say call. he stands up from the table all excited looking so i think im dead, then flips up 22. haha, i show TT. flop AA2, turn 5 river 7. oh. darn. ok reload. he racks up his chips and leaves after that hand. anyways, nothing too interesting after that, i get my name called like 10 mins later to go to the 5-10 must move game.

i buy in for 2k, and avg stack is around 1200 or so, with a few 800ish stacks, mario with like 2200, and a few nitty old ppl with around 2k. im pretty quiet for the first 10 minutes, feeling out the table, everyone is pretty nitty for the most part. i raise like 3 hands and everyone folds.

so, a few hands later, ive prob played 15 hands or so at this table, utg raises to 40, gets like 2 callers, one being a nitty old asian lady on the button, im in the bb, and without looking, i make it 200. seems like as good of a squeeze spot as any. orig raiser folds, cold caller folds, and nitty old asian lady banks for like 1.5 minutes, counts all her chips, then calls. she has about 1.1k total, so 900 behind now. flop comes down 965 with 2 hearts. i fire out 275 still without knowing my hand. she banks forever, and im like damn shes gonna shove on me oh well. she ends up folding and i say ok we can look at one together, and flip up first card its a 2c. she flips out grabs her chips and runs away. i dno why but this seems to happen a ton at my tables live.

anyways, i continue to straddle every time im utg, and make lots of raises and reraises without looking. my stack really doesnt do anything as im winning tons of small pots, losing some medium pots, and not really getting involved in any big ones. i felt pretty cold decked for a while. anyways, it gets around 9:15 or so and im pretty hungry, so mario and i get up, grab nate and craig, and one of craigs buddies arthur, and go check out the newerish steak place.

i wasnt really sure what to expect, but we got some potato skin appetizers and all got filets and sirloins. it was kinda meh, but for being in the middle of buttfk nowhere, it wasnt too bad. anyways, mario and i were backing craig and nate in the 1-2 game, and they were both stuck a bit, so we went over some hands they had etc etc, and then headed back to the poker room.

when we get back, our chips are moved to a new table, and everyone is complaining about how long we were gone. i tell everyone to stop being babies and ask if they wanna play higher, as most everyone has 2k+ stack. they all shut up again after that, which sucks. i keep running my mouth for a while, and still get nothin happening.

anyways, the table seems like a nit fest, as the main game usually is the tight people that havent busted yet. must move games almost always seem to be better. ok, so, mario raises the next hand, and i reraise with KQo to 140, everyone folds, and i rake the pot. very next hand, mario raises, i reraise again with AJo, folds around, guy in 2 seat is skinny 35 year old with glasses, seems uber nitty, and he begins to complain. mario calls. flop K74, he checks, i check. turn 8, ckck, river 2, ckck, i say AJ he flips up QQ and i lose. i called him a nitty fish for calling pf and checking it down whole way. so.. guy in 2 seat keeps complaining..

he says 'is this how its gonna be all night?' and i said 'yea, u got a problem with it?' he says 'not yet i dont' and i said 'u wana play 10-20?' he responds 'be careful what u wish for kid' so i throw back 'oh rly? well im wishing for it, lets make it happen.' basically we go back and forth for a while over the next few hands. next hand were in couple limps and i make it 65 or something, bet win on the flop, and he turns to guy next to him and starts whispering. i say 'excuse me sir, if theres a problem, please voice your concern so i might help to fix it' and he starts complaining that im raising every hand. i tell him 'im sorry i dont fit into your standard 8 people limp pf, everyone checks the flop, and if you have 2 pair or better you bet and everyone folds. my bad, but this is a poker game, step up and play, and stop acting like a whiney 5th grader.' this sets him off and im just tickled to death tilting the old nitty people.

anyways, didnt have any really big hands at this table, i made a mistake in a big pot i was annoyed with.. nitty asian guy who has like 4k stack limps utg, mario makes it 45, gets 2 callers, and i jack it up to 200. guy that limped utg COLD CALLS and one of marios callers calls, so like 650 in the pot, i have K5ss. flop comes down AJ4 with 1 spade. i fire out 325. utg limp cold caller instacalls, and button folds. turn is an 8s, giving me flush draw. i think for about 20 seconds, and check. the guy asks how much i have behind, counts out about 700 or so, thinks for a bit, looks at my stack (i have 2500) and checks behind. i was 100% instashoving over his turn bet with my flush draw. i thought he had a hand like AK a lot, and i dint think i was getting looked up there by that for so deep a pot, he seemed intelligent enough at least to fold. anyways, river was a 2h or something and it went check check and he showed ATo and won. i guess i shoulda fired turn in that spot, but i really dint want him to shove on me and id have to fold.

anyways, i made friends with pretty much everyone at the table except the [censored] in seat 2, as im generally quite likeable as i create lots of action and keep the game fun. theres usually 1-3 people at the table that have a problem with me because they are old nits and dont like the fact that i raise every hand and do better than them, but thats just something i will have to live with.

overall it was a pretty fun lil trip, i ended up down about 600 i think, and got to play crazy and had a good time, while checking out the poker room. craig and nate lost a bit between em, so me and mario lost a bit more from that, but i just wanted to get them out off their computers to play a bit of live. overall i think everyone had a good time, and i look forward to playing live next, though itll probably be in vegas this summer.
