With the FD out there, I like a lead. There is a FD and a SD, which can/will complecate matters. On the turn, the C/R is your best bet, although a lead is really good too. I like to check call the river here to induce a bluff.

However, I would like to say the best line here is Lead/Lead/Lead. When you have a set, the goal is to get money in the pot, and leading is the best way.

Although you won the hand, i feel you risked too much to do so. With a flush draw on the flop and two flush draws on the turn, you did not defend your hand well. This may seem a small thing, until you lose the hand in which case you are now down $100+.
Pot the flop. Pot the turn. If you still lose, you can at least know you played the hand well.

PS: With $229 in your stack, i feel you could easily lose it all to the back door flush possibility that fell on the turn. Would you fold your top trips to that flush , if villain put you all in on the river if that spade flush hit. It is unlikely, as it looks like a bluff. It is in fact a very expensive mistake buitl in to how you played the hand. fwiw.

I don't mind check-calling the pfr'er but not the other cold caller. I think I cr strong against him esp as you are not closing the action on the flop. In this case the pot would be much larger on the turn that a pot bet has much more value imo. If he calls your big cr to 35 or so(I guess that's not a huge cr really but you don't want to telegraph the strength of your hand too clearly-it must seem at least possible you have AJ) then you can put him on an underset or a draw. So on the turn you can bet apropriately if you have a read, does 99 call an open push on the turn, how about a str8 flush draw?
