This is something I've been interested in for awhile. This year it is are making 11 stops, only two in the US (the other is in San Diego). Last year it only came to San Francisco. School is out and I have nothing to do this weekend, so I'm thinking of making the drive up there with some friends. My problem is this: I have been to air shows, and for the most part, once you've seen one, you've seen them all. It is about a 4 or 5 hour drive up to Monument Valley from Phoenix, but I don't want to go up there to see a glorified air show. Has anyone been to one of these events? Is this trip worth making for a once a year type thing?

You are better off watching it on TV, much better vantage point. Its like seeing the indy 500 in person. Cool for about 5 minutes, then its boring as hell.
