i agree; i don't really see how pushing is +ev here as i don't think he calls w/QQ.

You have got to be [censored] me. Has 2p2 gone bonkers?

QFT ...push

i agree 100% that villain will call with QQ and probably with JJ and maybe some Tx hands, but if you want to stack off against the worst possible hands then i think it's best to call and check the turn. you're still going to stack a lot of those hands anyway.

let's say he has QQ. we've reraised him pf, bet out and then rr'd ai on the flop. you don't think he can lay that down on this flop?

edit: i'm not saying no one will ever call our ai w/QQ, but that is the best case scenario. more likely that he turns over a set or AA. just b/c we didn't give him proper odds doesn't mean he didn't call; people love to set mine. obviously i'm not advocating folding, i just think a push is unnecessary.

ppl that play QQ/JJ this way aren't doing it to "find out where they are at" or anything

People love to set mine? What the [censored] kind of statement is that, relative to this hand?

"People love to set mine" is a stupid statement, I mean, everyone set mines, even stupid lags. Its not relevant, whats relevant is his hand range and how he plays certain hands.

small note - he's getting 13-1 on set mining in position which should be ample especially if the RRer is tight (ie likely to have big pocket pair). Me personally I reraise tighter when raise comes from UTG or MP as most people do so this probably eliminates more of the unpaired hands though I know I would reraise auto reraise AK or AQ so the 13-1 might be just enough for him to call which is why I like a bigger reraise preflop. As played it's a tough call. I think CRai on the turn is probably what I would do since it's very dry and he might think he can get you to fold something like JJ or possibly QQ if he fires again. I feel like a push on the flop depending on your stats (ie you are not perceived as a maniac) will fold all weak hands and likely fold JJ and possibly QQ.
