Great Advice I got recently
This is some advice I got recently that I have found to be very helpful. Thought I would share. It was in responds to my problem of being too aggresive at times.
[ QUOTE ] Just try to think of the game outside of the hand you're currently in. Use folding as a weapon. Realize that making folds will allow your bluffs to carry more strength in the future. [/ QUOTE ] If you read this in its original thread, sorry, but I felt it was worth repeating. |

That's from the book "Zen and the art of Poker"
I recommend reading the "Tao of poker" if you liked that quote. |

Re: Great Advice I got recently
I remember when even before I started playing I found a bunch of articles at pokertips.org. In one of them the author said that folding should be considered as an aggressive play, like when you fold, you refuse to give villain your money. I don't remember the exact sentence, but it was described very well and it stuck with me.
