Default Playing scared? KK with lots of pf action

I dont fold KK pf often (which is understandable since mostly I play Nl25) but there are occasions where laydown is good.
Are these 2 hands an example of that?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG+1 ($40)
MP1 ($43.45)
MP2 ($49)
MP3 ($28.60)
Hero ($52.55)
Button ($23.75)
SB ($32.65)
BB ($37.15)
UTG ($31.05)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $10.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $32.05 (All-In)</font>, Hero folds

Allways nice to see mini raise UTG. When I raise, BB reraises and he goes all in, I had a feeling i'm no good here.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($49.25)
Button ($44)
SB ($50.35)
Hero ($49)
UTG ($42.05)
MP ($39.25)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Button calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $8.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $48 (All-In)</font>, Hero folds.

You'll ask why I miniraised him back. Imo it served 2 purposes: worse hands will call it and AA wont be able to resist and will just shove it in there.

I must admit that in first case i was certain i was beat, in second one not so much. Even though my min raise was designed to bring aces out it sure as hell is hard to fold kings.

Flame away.

Raise more. Especially in hand 2, your $8.5 bet is asking to be pushed off your hand.

I would call both. Make a note if UTG in hand 1 minraised AA.

I don't mind either fold but I doubt you'll get alot of people that agree here.

I think the first fold is fine (though your original RR should be larger, as was already mentioned). I would never fold KK at a short handed table in a button vs. BB battle. I think hand 2 is wayyyyy too nitty. If hes got AA its a cooler but youll see plenty of worse hands at this level.
