Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
I generally prefer to play a little more passively preflop, it may not be for everyone, but I don't feel the need to 3-bet everytime I get AK on the button, or QQ-JJ in the blinds, and I limp behind a few players with a very wide range in LP, and god forbid I open limp occassionally (even on the button)!

Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
The problem with nitting up your PFR% is that you have to be able to get away from your overpair/TPTK hands well as setmining against you is very profitable if you don't.
If however your PFR% is 13% then people will play back at you enough with lesser hands that felting good overpairs is profitable. That is my speculation though. |

Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
wide PFR range = strict setmining is -EV(you won't put enough in when they hit sets)
if they get creative in addition to playing for sets, it may not be -EV the thing is the tight passive guys aren't creative and give up way to easy |

Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
jhill - I think not 3 betting those spots is likely a leak. You're allowing weaker hands to see a flop against u in position. I would be 3 betting there, a bit over pot size.
Like others said also, if your PFR is low and your went to showdown % is low, you're going to get abused by the craftier players. Having a wider range exponentially confuses your HUDbot opponents, and makes the non-hudders think you're playing a lot looser than u actually are. |

Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
Its funny that everyone has somthing different to say. I think a tag is about 14-18, 5-12,. basically they should be raising a fair share of their hands.

Re: Ideal Full Ring PT #\'s
vpip/pfr between 13/9 and 20/15
attempt to steal blinds of at least 30% preferably 40% went to showdown of 18-28% the better you are at hand reading the higher the number. won money at showdown of around 50%, basically a useless stat though. cold call of <1% unless you really love to fk with people postflop, then it can be a little higher. ptbb/100 of 2.5-5.5 is realistic for a decent player. position stats: vpip in first three positions of 8-12%, vpip in latish positions of 20-30%, sb vpip is debatable as ive seen winners with 20% and winners with 40%, it really just depends on how much you screw up after the flop. all positions other than blinds should be winning, blinds will be losers but hopefully not worse than -0.2ptbb/hand. |

Something like 14/7 is nitty but very easy to pull off and I think profitable. [/ QUOTE ] NL bots on FTP link from the zoo. I found the 14/7 number interesting and thought I'd share it here in case you missed it. |
