0.25/0.50 => 17:1 on top pair = call should be hero's default line imho, and he needs more experience to even consider folding in such a situation. Sure he may loose half a bet here but he's gonna throw away a pot way more than 1 time in 30.

say what on the bolded part?

I generally agree with your 17-1 top pair = call, but that really is only a default. there's like zero chance we're good here.

I mean, let's say he is only good once in 34 times here, but calls every time, then he looses like .5BB on the call.

Hero is gonna do this more, and he is going to cost himself money making 'hero' folds like this because he is going to do it in worse spots. Hero is never ahead here because SB has 7x pbb, not because of the flush that came in - something a lot of the good players in here seem to ignore because it's been too long since they played micro stakes IMHO.

I should've said: 'Sure he may loose half a bet here but he's gonna throw away a 15BB pot way more than 1 time in 30 making 'hero' folds like this in worse spots, thus it's better to advice hero to always call with 17:1 odds, top pair and closing the action until he gets more experience.'
