[ QUOTE ]
Can I make up a holiday? [/ QUOTE ] Sure, but it's better to add your particular celebration(s) to a holiday that already exists and is widely celebrated. Ask the Christians about Saturnalia. Come to think of it, Even though a lot of people know about it, Festivus is still rather poorly defined. |

Re: Who the [censored] actually celebrates Kwanzaa?
Good question, OP! I've certainly never known anyone who celebrated it.
OOookay. So we have one professor in California who invented it, and the city of Memphis celebrating it. It took 30 years before any of us even HEARD of it. And it's not even there for any reason except to be an imitation Christmas. At least there's a nice historical basis for Juneteeth. Kwanzaa is going to have absolutely zero legitimacy in my book for a loooong time to come. |

If Hallmark makes a card for it, someone celebrates it.
Yes, there are fake holidays, but you can't make them up, hallmark has to do it. |
