Default Re: Stars: Take cash from 1k wsop event instead of $650 bonus?

Well, it doesn't matter for SuperNova players since the bonus actually offers higher value than 85% of the tourney entry fee. However, I can see it's an absolutely better way to use their FPPs for Platinum VIP

Yes, the points-for-cash bonus is still better at the Supernova level.

However, if you are feeling especially ambitious, I believe you get $11k if you purchase a WSOP main-event seat for 700k FPP's.
And then get the extra $1k when you show up and agree to wear PokerStars stuff.

If they just let you have $11k for 700k points then this is slightly better than the Supernova bonus.

Supernova cash-for-points is exactly 1.50c per FPP whereas $11k for 700kFPP's would be 1.57c.

If you do it the main-event way and get $11k for 700k FPP's you will make $500 than Supernova points-for-cash AND not have any kind of play-through requirement when you get there (although that aspect is made up for by you not seeing a cent of that UNTIL you get to 700k FPPs).
