Also, I met this girl (white) that looked a lot like one of my friends from high school (also white). My friend's name is Chante (pronounced 'shahn-TAY'); I told the girl "wow you look a lot like my friend Chante" and she got all insulted because she thought I had to be comparing her to a black girl based off the name.

I was terrified of making some un-PC statement like "don't worry, she's white" even though it was totally obvious that's what she was giving me weird looks about...so it was just awkward.
