Do you give the money back when you deliver a bad beat? They were huge dogs to overpay you on your cashout but you hit a million to one shot. Running a poker site involves certain gambles including setting up a payout system that is fast and hopefully almost always correct. You just owe them $1499.99 Sklansky bucks.

I had a friend that got an extra 2k check from UB. He had initially cashed out 2k, they sent him that check, then a week or so later another 2k check. He cashed it and nobody said anything.

Just because its a large company, or some faceless entity that probably wouldn't miss it, doesn't exempt you from being decent. Tell them you think they made a mistake let them investigate you might have been eligible for a bonus that you weren't aware of or something else. If thats the case they'll tell you to keep it.

You either have integrity or not, you have to tell them and if its a mistake send it back. If its not a mistake then enjoy the money and feel no guilt.

I think the real problem with alerting them to what happened is that they'll probably stop payment on the check and freeze your account while they do an investigation. Then after two months, they'll tell you they're closing your account and seizing your funds for fraud on your part.
It'll then take you another three months and many postings here before they investigate again and finally decide to reopen your account.
(And I'm only half being sarcastic)

I was joking to some extent, but I think the appropriate response has already been mentioned. Don't act rashly, hold onto the money. If you go on a heater (or they ask for the money back), pay it back. If you get slaughtered at the tables through a string of bad beats, keep it.
