Tbh, table selecting can be pretty frustrating at SNGs sometimes, especially at the higher stakes where the games don't fill as quickly and the player pool has a higher percentage of regulars as opposed to fish. I still think you can draw a line somewhere though, like "I won't register for a SNG in which I'm the 5th solid reg that's registered". I guess what I'm saying is that something is always better than nothing, even if it's only a little something. Even if none of these things show huge returns, even miniscule improvements in ROI will matter over the long run.

Good post wiggs, it's always good to keep the fundamentals in mind.
On the table selection issue, i must admit i got annoyed when even playing the lower levels, when one of the handful of good regs starts his set at the same time as me. Im just like "geez wait 10 mins make a coffee or something", its mutual beneficial for both of us.

Wiggs,
Very good post the two biggest thing I personally need to work on are getting better reads and not making the "standard" play(this applies more to cash but w/e). A lot of times people will have standardish coolers I.e they stack off QQ on a low card board and run into AA. Obviously this is a tough spot to get away from but sometimes you can and its important to try and find thosee spots instead of blaming it on bad luck.

Your post lived up the hype for sure. The beauty of this post is that none of the information is "ground breaking". It portrays some of the key factors to being a profitable poker player. Anyone that reads this carefully will see clearly that poker theory/skill is just a percentage of the equation to monetary success. IMO, the intangible psychological skills are the "overlooked element" to long term achievement in the game of poker. Not including this in the revised FAQ would be an injustice to the forum.
