its even worse on the radio where they never mention the score situation or anything else thats important

Over/under on Clemens ERA now that he's in the American League: 4.20

Over/under on how long it takes for Clemens to mess up his hamstring now that he's in a Yankees uniform: 4.20 weeks.

If I were one to place bets, I would take the under here. Way under.

[quoteWhere the hell do you get Clemens adding 1-2 wins over a piece of garbage like Igawa? If Clemens was making his starts they probably would have 2 more wins right now and its only May 7th.

joe sheehan projects a 1.5 win improvement over igawa

i'm not convinced kei igawa is a 4.51 ERA pitcher. He seems to leave way too many balls up in the zone - it has only been a month, but I don't have faith. As someone noted, Clemens is probably worth a win over Igawa already.

Seriously, Friday night Igawa was handed a 5-0 lead and gives up 8 runs. He also gave up 7 on a night where the Yanks lost 10-8 to TB. Granted Igawa had one good outing in Boston, Clemens is a vast improvement.

Yeah but if Igawa isn't really a 4.5ERA pitcher, like the article says, he would be replaced by Rasner or Tyler Clippard who are still probably above replacement level.

Plus, they did take Igawa's performance so far this year into account when coming up w/ that prediction.
