open shove or bet.

For those saying crai- what do you do when villian checks his set/AA behind and the turn bricks?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you saying villain always has a set or AA here?

Okay, I just wanted clarity here. Generally, I don't like posts that call out "well what happens when...one specific hand." I don't think you were getting at that, though.

Obv, AA-QQ make up a good portion of his range here. I say C/R. The problem with leading is that I can't see ANY hand calling that we beat, and we really have nothing to protect against as we have the nut draw.

People don't like the idea of getting to the turn here without betting because our equity goes way down against sets, AA, etc. Fact is, if villain has a set or AA, they are going to bet because there are sooo many scare cards that can come on the turn. If we C/R, at least we may get a bet from TT, JJ, and other random crap he may have called pf with.

Definitely don't fold, even if it checks through and the turn blanks. Villain HAS to bet any hand that beats you on the flop.

But do you think he ever folds QQQ to a push? Mostly I'm just scared of villian checking behind.

No way! Where did I imply that I thought he would? We have enough equity against his range on the flop when he bets, so get the money in. Part of his range is a set, but whatev. I am not saying he will fold a set. I am saying he won't check behind with a set on this board, so you don't have to worry about the equity of the draw going down on the turn when he checks behind. If he checks, lead/call the turn.

If you C/R, you will be up against sets, AA, and hands we beat. If you just shove or lead the flop, you will probably only get called by hands that beat us.
