OP, read Harrington's books and keep reading this forum. You want to get KK all-in pre-flop in almost every situation. You should not be concerned with getting in the money. If you are, then you need to move down in stakes.

Nearing final table of a $5 tourney, under the gun 20K stack miniraises I go all in for 9K with KK, big blind calls with A3 offsuit for 2K and big stack calls with A8 offsuit. An ace hits on the turn. Such is poker.

Was it the right thing to do? Absolutely.

Would I play the same way with the same hand? For eternity!

if just outside the money play very agressively. if in the money it depends. factors in whether to call a raise or reraise are your stack,# players yet to act, stacks of players yet to act, agressiveness of raiser. mostly i reraise and hope he shoves w qq or jj or 10's

YEP, Just as I thought. I always get the chips in with this hand. So many beats in the past few weeks just outside the money with KK had me considering other plays. But I think the posts here confirm my thoughts get it in and if you get called and you loose, well thats just poker.

I just lost yesterday with it with 5 people til the money. got called by 10-7 , 10 on the flop, 7 on the river. I'll play those two hands against each other for life though.

KK I'm trying to trap you pre-flop I'm not trying to fold.

Get as money in preflop as you can. You have to play KK like its the best hand, dont be worried that someone has AA because 1/3 of the time you might be getting reraised by QQ.

Harringtons book are great because all of the donkey's read them and use them like a goddam bible, you can manipulate the person easily if you know how he plays

I bet a lot of players have become better thinkers and analysts by reading Action Dan's books, but I bet NO ONE has become better by following his advice. Not in low buyin tourneys anyway.

I wish I had access to the data to take your bet. If I did, I'd take you up on it in a heartbeat.
