Makes you want to do dumb things like checking behind with top set. Waaaaaaaaah. Was shot-taking because a big fish was in the game...

All this sympathy is killing me. Obviously I [censored] up by not pushing flop that's partly the point of the post.

This guy liked getting it in with any two high cards and I can still benefit from that even as a shortstack, no?

Anyway I've tried it once now and never again.

shortstacking is not the problem here. you should have raised all-in pre-flop; you take away implied odds and BB may have folded; THAT's the advantage of playing shortstacked. So you win a small pot, it's still money - and what's that saying about pushing all-in preflop wiht pocket aces - you often either win a small pot or lose big? Even if you'd pushed on the flop, I doubt he would've folded at that point.

i always wonder if shortstacks get upset when i bust them. its such a trivial event for anyone at their regular limits, but i guess its gotta bother the shortstack. oh well, they're not real people anyways.
