Live Pot Limit, straight on the turn with heavy betting around
£3-£3 PLHE, early in the session, no good read on the table, but the vast majority of players in that game are donks that are only capable of shallow thinking, so it might be safe to assume the same for villain.
SB: Hero, £800 BB: £250 UTG: £400 Preflop: Hero is dealt 6s 8s, UTG limps, folded to Hero, Hero checks, BB checks. Pot = £9. Flop: 2d 3c 5s. Checked around. Turn: 4c. Hero checks, BB bets £5, UTG raises to £25, Hero calls £25, SB raises to £100, BB re-raises the pot, making it £310 to play, leaving about £70 behind. Pot is now about £600. Hero (about £770 left) ? |

Re: Live Pot Limit, straight on the turn with heavy betting around
I also forgot to mention there is also probably a flush draw out there, meaning not only are you splitting at best(BB's line could easily be 67, and it is AT LEAST 6-x) but on top of that u may be getting freerolled by 6-x of clubs. I don't like this spot, it really depends on a read of BB/everyone else involved in the hand, but BB in particular.

Re: Live Pot Limit, straight on the turn with heavy betting around
Thanks everyone, I realize I wrote the hand wrongly, the guy who repops at the end is UTG not BB. Anyway I think the concept stands, basically I was wondering how easily one can get away from a spot like that.
Results: I push, putting both BB and UTG all-in, they both call. River is a blank, BB shows 6 9, UTG shows 6 7 and scoops the pot. |
