When someone reraises pf with every pp
I'm regurly playing at 50NL against an opponent who reraises me very often preflop. I have seen him do that with pocket eights, and maybe he even does it with pockets deuces.
How do I play him? If I have JJ I can call but I feel I have to fold a bet on the flop if I don't hit a set, even if there are only low cards. And that sux because I can be ahead a lot of times. And with AK I can call, but let go on the flop if I don't hit an A or K. Should I reraise his reraise? Or is it ok to play so tight and let go unless hit a set or have AA, KK, or QQ? |

start 4betting light. tightening up or limp calling is not the correct play

Ok, I'll reraise his reraises more often. Especially with JJ+. Or should I reraise with every pp?
And what about 4-betting with AK? |

Re: When someone reraises pf with every pp
Does he overplay his pps postflop? That would be a big factor for me to decide how many hands to 4-bet with.
If you raise, then call his 3bet with AK, and the flop comes A/K high, will he fire away on the flop and turn with like 77 hoping you'll fold something? If so, I would keep calling with AK. If not, start 4-betting it, maybe even 4-bet-push preflop with it. I would definitely start 4-betting TT+. Maybe 77+ if your initial raise was in a steal position. He's taking advantage of your weak/tight play. Stop being weak/tight! |

Re: When someone reraises pf with every pp
Another option is table selection. You can avoid playing at the same table unless he is actively looking for you. Also make sure if you do sit with them that you have position on him, and if he ever sits to your left try to move.

He does fire out on the flop when an A or K is there. But I don't think he continues to much on the turn.
And it's not about me staling the pot. When I raise from MP he reraises me when he's on the button or the small blind. |

[/ QUOTE ] Or he could start playing better and exploiting this opponents overaggressive play. And it's more exploitable if this opponent is to our left. Running away from him is lame, and giving up EV. |

He's got your number. You really have to start pushing back.
