Best credit card rewards program
I use my credit card quite a bit (about $1K/month) due to the nature of my job. The credit card I'm currently using is a Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Rewards Card that I got a while back before I started using it frequently. I've just about accrued enough points for a nice vacation, but I'm thinking there are much better (and useful)rewards programs out there.
What rewards cards do you guys have? Suggestions? I'm thinking something travel related would be cool, or straight cash back would also work. |

Re: Best credit card rewards program
Just got an AMEX card that works well for me. 5% on gas, 2% on travel related charges and 1% back on everything else. No limit on how much cash back you can get.

Re: Best credit card rewards program
Check out www.cardoffers.com Nice site with just about every card listed.
Check out Fatwallet's finance forum, plenty of opportunities for extra value when signing up. Get a card that best fits your need(s). If you want cash, get something with 1% or more cashback. If you travel, a rewards card for miles/points might be better, since those point/miles are worth more than 1% (like cashback). My monthly CC bills average 8k - 12k. I use Marriott Rewards (Chase), Upromise (Citibank), and Amex. Make sure and read the fine print. Some cards have a yearly limit on cashback, miles, etc. edit: if you sing-up online, take a screenshot or print out the offer sheet, some people have had problems at at times. |

Re: Best credit card rewards program
My discover card gives me 5% on groceries, gas, and I think pharmacies, and 1% on every other purchase with no limit to what you can earn.
My Citicard Mastercard has a limit of $300 per year earned with the same cash back. I use the discover card for everything I can, and I use the mastercard whenever they dont take discover. I get something like 4-500$ a year back this way (which I cash in at Christmas to buy presents) |

Re: Best credit card rewards program
See if the Citibank Premier Pass credit card would work for you.
You get 1 point for every dollar you spend (some categories of spending is 2x, 3x or 5x points). You get 1 point for every mile flown on an airline ticket bought on the card. Note - if you buy the ticket on your card but it's for someone else you would still get the points for the mileage of the flight. So a LA - NYC round trip flight would gain you ~5500 points. 500 for the cost and 5000 for the mileage. 25,000 points will get you a free domestic ticket. There are many other things points can be spent on. Downsides: $75 annual fee (really I forget the exact $ amount. It is between $50 and $85). Sometimes this is being waived. You can only redeem points acquired by buying airline tickets in equal amounts with points you earned by spending money on the card. Surprise upsides: There is a no-fee version of the product that works as above except you only receive 1 point for every 3 miles of airline travel. |
