Is there any chance that Mason or anyone else can give us an update on the review/editing process?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think Mason has gotten the second draft back from Flyyn, Mehta, and Ed yet.

Hi Dynasty:

I do have it and it's pretty good.

Mid-July looks like a practical publishing date.

Best wishes,
Mason

sorry dd, in our book Harry "Potter" only seems to know one bet size, and unfortunately his continual pot-sized bets with inferior hands get Snaped off so often that it lands him in broketown....I don't want to give away too much though....

Please don't tell me this book is going to embrace the terrible Sklansky logic of 'it's no limit so you have to have different bet sizes based in large part on the percieved strength of your hand.' Please!

I just want to say, I hope this book lives up to the expectations. I am a fan of 2+2 books and owe a great debt to them for teaching me how to think logically regarding poker (and other things too).

That said I thought No Limit Theory and Practice was a pretty pedestrian and uninspired effort. Much of the material could be gleaned more concisely from the Medium Stakes and High Limit forums, and other parts of it were irrelevant in relation to short handed on-line games. Also unlike most other 2+2 books, parts of it were unorganized, incoherent, and in many places redundant.

That said will be very interested to read the new book and am hopeful that I will be astounded and enlightened.

You do realize there actually are people who don't play NL 6-Max, don't you?

In fact, I heard recently there are actually people who play FR NL hold'em live in places called "casinos." Probably just a crazy internet rumor, so I'll believe it when I see it, but could it possibly be true?

Anyone who writes poker books aimed at casino players is living in the past.

Actually, given the current legal situation in the US regarding online poker, they may be living in the future.

^ I agree as well. I plan on buying this book and using it for casino play, as well as situations that arise in my local card club where people have busted out and we can't get anybody to join for about an hour period making us play at 6max. Hopefully it will live up to expectations. Mason says the manuscript looks good so that should stand for something.
