Re: Your Top 5 Favorite Poker Rooms
1) Turning Stone, NY
I really like this place. I sure as hell woulden't want to live there (nothing else to do), and it's a long ass drive, but it has a nice atmosphere, good quality, and the staff (dealers especially) are great. It also has a lot of college students, and I enjoy socializing with them. Good range of limits too. 2) Caesar's Palace, LV I was there in December when it was first opening up. Seriously, all you Las Vegas residents have to check this room out. The limit games are mostly low, but this is a great room for no limit due to high max buy-ins. The room is enormous and comfy, the dealers are all experienced, and their tournaments have fantastic structures (45 minute levels). If you like a quiet room, this is the place to be. I was in Vegas for two weeks and planned to hit every poker room, and Caesar's was so good that it was the only place I went to. 3) Borgata, AC For all the reasons listed above. The only other rooms I have played in are Fallsview Casino in Niagra, and the Radisson (I think) in Aruba. Both sucked hardcore. |

Re: Your Top 5 Favorite Poker Rooms
I travel due to my business and have played in quite a few of the rooms. I've been meaning to post a comprehensive list, but the following is an abbreviated version:
1. Commerce Casino - game selection, entertaining people, nothing quite like it. 2. Sam's Town, Horseshoe, Gold Strike Tunica - the entire Tunica poker scene caters to the players with comps. The players are generally poor and the atmosphere is friendly. 3. Mirage - there is great vibe to this room. Very good dealers and staff, good game selection and nice atmosphere. I keep returning even though all these new rooms are opening. 4. Grand Biloxi - too bad this is closed. Generous comps, free food, great atmosphere, good game selection. 5. Bellagio - the poker capital of the world 6. Foxwoods - the enomority of the place is startling. The games are good, the room is decent 7. Taj Mahal - it is kind of a dump, but has historical signifciance due to Rounders. I really like the staff and the game selection. Someone mentioned that it is the Stud Capital. Amen. We need to see more 7CS spread. 8. Mandalay Bay - good low limit action, nice scenery, great atmosphere 9. Monte Carlo - the best small room in Vegas IMO 10. Ameristar Vicksburg - this is included because the players are so bad that it is comical. Check, Call, Check Call. A loose passive goldmine |

Re: Your Top 5 Favorite Poker Rooms
1)the grosvenor victoria (london) POT LIMIT OMAHA!!
2)the bellagio - 30 games are unreal, not to mention it's gorgeous. 3)the wynn - best floor staff in vegas and very compotent dealers. 4)the commerce - would probably rank higher if i played more often, but have been impressed with free airport service (in a lincoln i believe) and the food is great. 5)aviation club (paris) - not great games, but you are in paris playing on the champs elysees |

Re: Your Top 5 Favorite Poker Rooms
1 - Horeshoe Tunica
$20 $40? plays like the $4 $8 everywhere else. This is the best game on the planet, hands down. 2 - The Bike "Set up" "Set up" "Set up" The food is killer and so is the neighborhood. 3 - Caesars IN Donkey time at the boat. The WORST NL players in the world play there, and if you can afford it, the Wednesday PLO game is the shiznizzle. 4 - Golden Nugget, LV Old school Vegas doesn't get any better than the Nugget. The $4 $8 is supreme with capped 7 way pre flop action every hand 5 - Ocean Jewel, International waters I think they shut this one down, but once you get out there, there is no going back. Great for those on Wild Monkey Tilt, they HAVE to keep playing and I have to keep taking their money. |

Re: Your Top 5 Favorite Poker Rooms
In Vegas:
Wynn - great dealers and floormen; food service at the table, soft mid-limit games; cute waitresses. The Orleans - lots of tables, addequate dealers and management, good tournaments, fairly hot cocktail waitresses, and the softest 1-2 NL games in Vegas. Ceasars Palace - nice, new and clean room; comfy chairs, great tournaments, food service at table. California: The Hustler - one blind structure for their limit games; really soft NL games; great food; very nice atmosphere. Hollywood Park - dirty, old but the softest games, from 2-4 all the way up to 30-60, I have ever seen. Plus, decent food and the ability to bet the horses while still playing poker. |
